خطوات أمريكية لبناء الثقة مع سورية
واشنطن: أفادت صحيفة “واشنطن بوست” نقلاً عن مسؤول أمريكي، أن إدارة ترامب قدمت خلال اجتماع دولي في بروكسل قائمة من 8 خطوات لوزير الخارجية السوري، أسعد حسن الشيباني، تهدف إلى “بناء الثقة” بين الولايات المتحدة وحكومة دمشق.
وذكرت الصحيفة أن هذه الخطوات تأتي في إطار النظر في إمكانية تخفيف العقوبات المفروضة على سورية. وتتضمن القائمة السماح للولايات المتحدة بتنفيذ عمليات مكافحة الإرهاب داخل الأراضي السورية ضد الأفراد الذين تعتبرهم واشنطن تهديداً للأمن القومي.
كما طالبت واشنطن الحكومة السورية بإصدار إعلان رسمي يحظر جميع الأنشطة السياسية الفلسطينية على أراضيها، وترحيل أعضاء تلك المجموعات، وذلك في محاولة لتهدئة المخاوف الإسرائيلية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، دعت القائمة دمشق إلى دعم التحالف الدولي ضد تنظيم “داعش”.
في سياق متصل، أشار التقرير إلى أن ترامب يفكر في سحب القوات الأمريكية من سورية، بعد أن أوقف بعض برامج المساعدات الإنسانية للبلاد التي تعاني من آثار الحرب. ومع ذلك، يواجه ترامب خلافات متزايدة مع حلفائه في أوروبا والشرق الأوسط، الذين بدأوا في دعم الحكومة السورية الجديدة.
منذ الإطاحة ببشار الأسد في ديسمبر 2024، يسعى الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع إلى فتح قنوات التواصل مع الغرب، وهي خطوة يعتبرها العديد من حلفاء الولايات المتحدة، باستثناء إسرائيل، فرصة لتحقيق استقرار في منطقة مضطربة.
ورغم استمرار العقوبات التي تفرضها إدارة ترامب على دمشق منذ عهد الأسد، إلا أن الإدارة تتبنى موقفاً حذراً. حيث قال مسؤول كبير في الإدارة الأمريكية: “نواصل التعامل مع سورية بحذر شديد حتى يثبت الشرع نجاحه في تطهير حكومته من المتشددين الإسلاميين وبقايا تنظيم القاعدة”.
وأكد المسؤول أن الهدف ليس بالضرورة إنقاذ سورية من أجل الشعب السوري، بل منع عودة إيران وتنظيم “داعش”، وهو ما يعتبر مصلحة أساسية للشعب الأمريكي.
وعلى الرغم من عدم وجود خطط حالية للانسحاب الكامل من سورية، إلا أن التخطيط العسكري جارٍ لتقليص الوجود الأمريكي، حيث من المتوقع أن يتم تقليل عدد القوات إلى الحد الأدنى في الشمال الشرقي من سورية.
American Steps to Build Trust with Syria
Washington: The Washington Post reported, citing an American official, that the Trump administration presented a list of 8 steps to Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shehbani during an international meeting in Brussels, aimed at “building trust” between the United States and the Damascus government.
The newspaper noted that these steps come in the context of considering the possibility of easing sanctions imposed on Syria. The list includes allowing the United States to conduct counter-terrorism operations within Syrian territory against individuals that Washington considers a threat to national security.
Washington also demanded that the Syrian government issue an official declaration prohibiting all Palestinian political activities on its territory and deport members of those groups, in an attempt to alleviate Israeli concerns. Additionally, the list called on Damascus to support the international coalition against ISIS.
In this context, the report indicated that Trump is considering withdrawing American forces from Syria after halting some humanitarian aid programs for the war-torn country. However, Trump faces increasing disagreements with his allies in Europe and the Middle East, who have begun to support the new Syrian government.
Since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara has been seeking to open channels of communication with the West, a step that many of the United States’ allies, except for Israel, consider an opportunity to achieve stability in a troubled region.
Despite the ongoing sanctions imposed by the Trump administration on Damascus since Assad’s era, the administration adopts a cautious stance. A senior official in the American administration stated, “We continue to deal with Syria very carefully until Shara proves his success in purging his government of Islamist extremists and remnants of al-Qaeda.”
The official emphasized that the goal is not necessarily to save Syria for the sake of the Syrian people, but to prevent the return of Iran and ISIS, which is considered a fundamental interest of the American people.
Although there are currently no plans for a complete withdrawal from Syria, military planning is underway to reduce the American presence, with expectations that the number of troops will be minimized in northeastern Syria.

Pasos estadounidenses para construir confianza con Siria
Washington: El periódico Washington Post informó, citando a un funcionario estadounidense, que la administración Trump presentó una lista de 8 pasos al ministro de Relaciones Exteriores sirio, Asaad Hassan al-Shehbani, durante una reunión internacional en Bruselas, destinada a “construir confianza” entre Estados Unidos y el gobierno de Damasco.
El periódico señaló que estos pasos se presentan en el contexto de considerar la posibilidad de aliviar las sanciones impuestas a Siria. La lista incluye permitir que Estados Unidos realice operaciones de lucha contra el terrorismo dentro del territorio sirio contra individuos que Washington considera una amenaza para la seguridad nacional.
Washington también exigió que el gobierno sirio emita una declaración oficial prohibiendo todas las actividades políticas palestinas en su territorio y deportando a los miembros de esos grupos, en un intento de aliviar las preocupaciones israelíes.
